My name is Rev. Dr. Sanette Fleming, and I am the founder of Hadassah Learning Commons. I am an educator, ministry leader, curriculum developer, wife, mother, and lifelong learner with a deep commitment to faith-centered education, family discipleship, and meaningful community.
For years, I have worked with children, families, students, and faith communities in teaching, ministry, mentoring, and educational settings. Through that work, I have seen a recurring need: families are often doing valuable, intentional work at home, but many still long for a beautiful place where their children can learn alongside others, where parents can connect with like-minded families, and where education is supported by both excellence and a Biblical worldview.
Why I’m Building Hadassah Learning Commons
Homeschooling offers families freedom, flexibility, and the ability to shape a child’s education with purpose. But it can also feel isolating.
Many families need more than a weekly co-op, more than a public library table, and more than a café corner that was never designed for the rhythms of homeschool life.
Hadassah Learning Commons is being developed as a place where learning, children, parents, work, books, faith, and community can belong together.
The vision is to create a private, membership-based learning commons in York, PA. A warm, beautiful, faith+family-centered space where homeschool families can study, read, teach, work, gather, build friendships, attend small-group learning opportunities, and grow within a Biblically grounded community.
This is not being designed as a school or drop-off childcare program, and certainly not another co-op. It is envisioned as a supportive learning environment where families remain connected, parents stay engaged, and children have space to learn, imagine, read, and create within a faith-based community.
At Hadassah Learning Commons, families can expect an environment shaped with intentionality. The goal is to curate the atmosphere, resources, music, books, materials, and learning experiences so they support—not compromise—a Biblical worldview and family-centered formation.

Experience and Calling
My background includes theological education, ministry leadership, classroom teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and family-centered educational work. I hold advanced ministry and theological training, including doctoral studies, and I currently serve in teaching and ministry contexts that have strengthened my conviction that children need truth, beauty, structure, belonging, and wise adult guidance.
Hadassah Learning Commons brings together several parts of my life’s work: education, discipleship, hospitality, family support, and community building.
This vision is not simply about opening a space. It is about helping families cultivate a learning life that is memorable, warm, beautiful, faith-centered, and sustainable.
A Space Families Can Help Shape
Hadassah Learning Commons is still in the planning and Founding Member interest stage. Before securing a permanent property, we need to know whether enough families and community supporters are ready to help make the vision possible.
That is why we are currently inviting families, churches, ministries, businesses, and community supporters to join the interest list or indicate Founding Member interest.
At this stage, no payment is required. The goal is to measure serious interest, understand family needs, and determine whether there is enough support to responsibly move toward securing a property.
